MATRA BASTI THERAPY:-
Matra basti is performed to normalize the deranged vata in the digestive tract. It improves strength and general well-being. It is also used to prepare various therapeutic enemas.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Depending on your condition, 50-120 ml of medicinal oil or ghee is administered/injected via the rectum. This can be administered as a stand-alone enema treatment or in conjunction with a decoction enema. This therapy is administered following a meal. The little enema does not normally clear your bowel. You may need to use the restroom once or twice, perhaps within a few minutes or on the following day. Do not try to hold or expel the enema oil with force. However, it is preferable if the oil is left in for around 30 minutes.
